Are you interested in joining the City of Auckland Cadet Unit? Just follow the simple steps detailed below, and you'll be on your journey towards becoming a proud member of the New Zealand Cadet Forces!

What To Expect
When you visit our Unit for the first time, you will be invited with your parents/guardians into an interview with a Unit Officer discussing the New Zealand Cadet Forces and our Unit itself, in addition to addressing any questions you may have. You will then be introduced to our Recruit Coordinator, who will ensure your night runs smoothly and who can also answer any further questions. You will then have the opportunity to observe the operation of our Unit and attend introductory lessons.
What To Bring
Come along in your school uniform, or in tidy civilian clothing if you don't have school uniform. You should also bring with you a pen and paper to write on. Also, bring along a water bottle and a change of clothes that you can run/exercise in.
Where To Go
We use the side-entrance to the facility located on
Potatau St. If you navigate to us with Google Maps, you’ll be taken exactly where you need to go. There will be a member of our Unit in uniform at the gate, who will then escort you inside.Probationary Period
There is a six-week probationary period of Initial Recruit Training for you to decide whether you would like to join our Unit. At the end of this, you will be issued with your uniform and enrolled.
